About StädtePortal.com
An open project for transparency, participation, and free local access
The Idea
The idea for StädtePortal.com came to me several years ago when I was trying to find simple, trustworthy information about local authorities and services — and kept running into scattered, outdated, or unclear websites.
That’s when it became clear: we need a central, open, and neutral portal that’s independently operated, aiming to provide free and fair access to information for everyone.
From Vision to Teamwork
What began as a personal idea is now a shared effort: a small, dedicated IT team is building StädtePortal with the goal of combining technology and transparency. The platform is open by design, built to grow and adapt — and shaped by the people who use it.
Transparency & Participation
StädtePortal is an open project committed to the principle of information freedom. Everyone should be able to access important local data — without login, without paywalls.
Businesses, clubs, and freelancers can register for free to make their services visible — with no ads, no pressure, and no middlemen. This strengthens local economies and improves visibility online.
Technical Foundation
The platform is based on a modern stack using SQL databases, structured APIs, and modular web components. It is continuously improved with a focus on data protection, high availability, and decentralization.
We’re not just publishing data — we’re building tools for local governments, organizations, and individuals who want to engage.
Get Involved!
StädtePortal is built by participation. If you want to contribute — with ideas, code, or knowledge about your city — we would love to hear from you. The more we build together, the more powerful and useful this platform becomes.
